Clinical Voice was built as a rapid prototype for healthcare professionals to document clinical problems and unmet needs that could potentially be addressed through medical device innovation. The goal was to create a simple, effective way to gather real-world clinical insight and connect with professionals who were interested in co-developing new solutions.
Apptoo worked with the team at Hardware Park to bring the concept to life quickly, including mobile apps, backend services, and supporting data tools.
Innovation in medical technology often depends on getting clear feedback from the people who work closest to the problem. But clinical needs are not always easy to capture in a structured way, and the opportunity to document them can be lost when there isn’t a fast, usable system in place.
For Clinical Voice, the challenge was to build something that could get into doctors’ hands quickly, allow them to record and submit real clinical challenges, and do it in a way that was secure, compliant, and useful to the team receiving the information. The prototype also needed to support voice-based input and turn that input into something that could be reviewed, organized, and acted on without requiring a long setup timeline.
Because this was an innovation project, speed mattered a lot. The team needed a working prototype that could validate the concept, support early user feedback, and create a foundation for future product development — all in less than a month.

In addition to the mobile apps, we spun up the supporting infrastructure, database, and web services quickly so the prototype could function as a complete system rather than just a front-end concept.
This project was all about speed, clarity, and practicality. Apptoo worked closely with the Hardware Park team to make sure the prototype could be delivered quickly while still supporting the kinds of data handling and workflow integrity that a clinical innovation tool needs.
We also integrated with Metabase for data viewing and HubSpot for account tracking, giving the team a better way to monitor submissions and manage early-stage relationships. The result was a working prototype that could help validate the product idea and support conversations with clinicians and stakeholders.
The prototype was successfully delivered in less than a month and gave the team a way to start collecting and organizing clinical challenge data quickly.
