Apptoo started with a simple idea: great software should solve real problems, scale with the business, and be built by people who understand both the technical details and the bigger picture.
Origins
Matt and Paul met in Tuscaloosa in 2015 while working on smaller tech projects together. Those early projects were modest, but they were successful enough to show a clear pattern: they worked well together, they could ship quality work quickly, and they shared the same mindset about how software should be built.
By 2017, that collaboration became something bigger. They formed Apptoo, a remote B2B software development company focused on helping businesses turn ideas into practical, scalable digital products.
From the beginning, the goal wasn’t just to write code. It was to help companies build software that could actually move their business forward — whether that meant improving operations, launching a new platform, supporting growth, or creating better customer experiences.

Apptoo is a remote B2B software development company rooted in Alabama, with ties to Birmingham and satellite presence in Tuscaloosa. Today, the company includes a small core team supported by a contractor network, allowing us to stay flexible while still taking on meaningful projects.
That structure lets us stay nimble, collaborative, and hands-on — which is a big reason our clients keep coming back.
